Richard Starkey of The Beatles, better known as Ringo Starr, is now Sir Ringo. The legendary drummer was knighted at a ceremony in the UK.
The picture of the ceremony was published by representatives of Ringo in social networks on Tuesday (March 20) with the words “Another busy day for Sir Ringo. Peace and love, peace and love … Ringo was honored with this honor for “serving music.”
Starr shared with the BBC that he was honored to receive the title: “This really means recognition of our activities. It’s an honor for me. ”
The announcement of Knighthood Ringo was made at the end of December and brought congratulations from many, including his colleague Sir Paul McCartney and John Lennon’s widow Yoko Ono.
