The Strelka Film Festival continues, and yesterday the audience was presented with the “Cold War” by Pavel Pavlikovsky, who received the Cannes Film Festival award as the best director for this film. Svetlana Ustinova, Oksana Akinshina, Grigory Dobrygin, Marusya Fomina, Valery Todorovsky and many other stars came to see the picture of the Polish master, caressed by film critics.
Pavlikovsky – the director who in 2015 with the film “Ida” bypassed the “Oscar” Andrei Zvyagintsev with his “Leviathan”. After the triumph, he for some time went underground, to return with a new brilliant picture.
1950’s, the Cold War, the two fall in love. She is a young and inexperienced soloist of the folk ensemble, he is already a musician who is much older. The love drama of two dissimilar people unfolds against the background of heavy historical events in the GDR, Poland and France, complicating the already difficult relations of the characters.
Alas, the fate of the film in the Russian box office is still unknown.
