Media in Saudi Arabia reported that the country’s leaders recognized journalist and critic of the government Khashoggi Jamal was killed at the Consulate in Istanbul.

The publication notes that Saudi Arabia’s king Salman al-Qahtani dismissed the chief adviser of the crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The monarch also fired the Deputy chief of intelligence, General Ahmed al-Assi from his duties and ordered to form a Committee headed by Prince Mohammed to restructure the security services.
“The Prosecutor announced that preliminary results of the investigation show Hashagg died in the Consulate of Saudi Arabia in Istanbul”, – stated in the message.
According to the Prosecutor, between Khashoggi and people in the Consulate in Istanbul there was a conflict, after which the journalist was killed.
Turkish officials said that Khashoggi was killed and dismembered.
