Art dealer from New York, who bought a small warehouse in New Jersey for 15 thousand dollars, received more than he expected. Inside, he found six paintings of Kuning.
According to the expert, the paintings belong exactly to the artist Willem de Kooning (Willem de Kooning), whose work at the auctions are sold for millions. According to the New York Post, David Killen found pictures in the purchased compartment last year, earlier they belonged to the collector Orrin Riley, who died in 1986, and then to his girlfriend Susan Schnitzer. She died in 2009.
The paintings were not signed, but Killen turned to analysts. They say with certainty that the work was done by Kuning, an abstractionist from the Netherlands, who moved to the United States and died in 1997.
