Statement of Yuriy Lutsenko about the absence of necessity of presence of security officers at customs plays a significant role in the work of customs officers.
Comments about this correspondent of ГолосUA said political expert Valery Dudko.
“Lutsenko’s statement about absence of necessity of presence of security officers at customs – this is the continuation of the conflict that has always existed between Arsen Avakov and Petro Poroshenko. Extensions of any of the powers of the Ministry of internal Affairs Lutsenko for perceived pain. It is unlikely that the state office of public Prosecutor will interfere with that number of security officers at the customs in some way will increase. The most important thing in this whole situation is that the customs officers should conscientiously perform their functions. While in Ukraine this question vneseny the border guards, customs officers, security service, and now MIA – that is, all law enforcement agencies want to be mixed,” – said the expert.
According to the analyst, the statement of Lutsenko does not affect the situation at customs.
“The Lutsenko’s statement on the overall situation, of course, does not affect. But, on the other hand, it increases the level of the Prosecutor General in the role of the Supervisory authority”, – said the expert.
We will remind, earlier it was reported that the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko believes that to reduce the flow of contraband into the customs don’t need to enter the security forces.
He said this during a meeting of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko with representatives of the business.
Lutsenko reminded that, in accordance with the Customs code, the security forces can’t intervene in the work of customs. He is sure that smuggling should be combated by searching “families and groups”.
