Do you want to fly like Elvis Presley did? The private plane, which previously belonged to the “King of Rock and Roll”, was decorated with “red velvet seats, with gold accessories and a red luxurious carpet”, is written on the website of the auction “Iron Planet”.
Sales of Lockheed Jetstar in 1962 were unveiled this week after it was provided by the current owner, who previously bought it for $ 430,000, the Associated Press reported.
IronPlanet said that the jet plane was assembled in Roswell, New Mexico, and the current owner “has not made any changes to it.”
The company added that the aircraft became a popular exhibit for visiting tourists and “is privately owned for more than 35 years.”
The purchase includes “All documents showing that the aircraft was the property of Elvis Presley,” said on the auction site, but the engines and some equipment from the cabin are “not available.”
Auction on the auction is currently scheduled to close on July 27, although the website said that it may end even earlier.
