The European Bank for reconstruction and development (EBRD) was appointed Director in Ukraine, Matteo Patrone.
This was reported in the social network Facebook, managing Director, financial institutions Bank Francis Malige, pedut “Ukrainian news”.
“My command will replace Matteo Patrone (acting representative of the EBRD in Romania and Bulgaria). I leave Ukraine, but Ukraine does not leave me. Now you have a new friend in London,” he wrote.
Malige added that will present the Cartridge to a new position in the coming weeks.
In the EBRD indicate that the Bank has appointed Matteo Patrone, Managing Director in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus.
Matteo Cartridge will work in the Kiev and be responsible for the following group of countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
The cartridge will replace on this post of Malia Francis, who was the first managing Director in the region and was recently appointed Managing Director in financial institutions at the headquarters of the EBRD in London.
Matteo is an Italian citizen.
He began working in the London office of the EBRD in 2008 in the Department of corporate investments, which he joined after a successful career in the private sector.
In 2012 he became the head of the EBRD office in Serbia, and in 2015 was appointed to the position of Director and Regional Director of EBRD in Romania and Bulgaria.
Under his leadership the EBRD’s investments in these countries amounted to more than 2 billion euros.
Chuck will begin his duties November 1, 2018.
Also, earlier, on 9 October it was reported that the EBRD Board of Directors approved a new strategy for Ukraine, which specified the priorities of the Bank’s activities in the country for the next five years.
